이 작업은 AI 개념미술이자, AI 과정철학이다. 작가는 ChatGPT4가 최대한 폴록의 작품을 인지할 수 있도록, 20여회에 걸쳐 잭슨 폴록의 작품에 대해 논했다. 또한 그가 가장 잘 알고 있는 작품이 무엇인지를 스스로 말하게 하여, 가장 친숙한 작품으로 코딩을 하게 했다. 그리고 이러한 결과를 가져왔다. 특히 ChatGPT는 '물방울'기법과 '드리핑'기법을 혼동하곤 했다. 작가는 이처럼 ChatGPT를 통해 일반인들에게 익히 알려져 있는 그림을 코딩하게 하고, 그 코딩을 작품아래에 함께 삽입하여, 이미지와 개념을 함께 작품에 담았다. 대부분의 AI art generators가 text to image나 image to image인 것에 반해, 작가는 ChatGPT를 통해, 그의 인지를 발전시키고 이를 coding to image로 했다. 또한 스스로 자신의 작품에 대한 평을 할 수 있도록 유도했다. This work is both AI conceptual art and AI process philosophy. The artist discussed Jackson Pollock's work with ChatGPT4 over 20 times to make it as aware of Pollock's work as possible. He also let it speak for itself about what it was most familiar with, so that it would code with what it was most familiar with. And this is what happened. In particular, ChatGPT confused the "drip" technique with the "dripping" technique. In this way, the artist had ChatGPT code a painting that the public is familiar with, and then inserted the code together under the painting, bringing the image and concept together in a work of art. While most AI art generators are text-to-image or image-to-image, ChatGPT allowed the artist to develop his cognition and translate it into coding to image. It also encouraged him to critique his own work. |
